Successful candidates must either live in, or be willing to relocate to the Ottawa region. Although we welcome out of town candidates, we do not cover the costs of relocation. P positions are open to Canadian residents only.

Web application developer
We are looking for a fast learning, highly independent individual who can join our software development team as a developer of our web-based file transfer applications FileCatalyst Webmail and FileCatalyst Web Workflow.

Primary Objectives & Responsibilities

• Help to define requirements, design and implement new features for an existing web based application.
• Provide 3rd level support for our existing software
• Introduce necessary code changes to fix problems.
• Perform setups and duplication of customer reported issues based on information gathered from the customer.
• Help with our existing automated testing engine
• Provide technical support for the Sales team during the sales cycle

Term: Full Time Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Salary:TBD. depending on experience

Required skills

- Completion of University level degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
- JAVA software development experience (Java SE, JSP, Struts)
- Web development experience (CSS, JavaScript, Java Applets, PHP, HTML)
- SQL and Database knowledge (My SQL, HSQL, SQL Server)
- Excellent knowledge of Apache-Tomcat including installation and upgrade on Windows and Linux
- Cross platform experience (Windows Server, Linux, Solaris, Mac OS)
- Knowledge of file transfer protocols (FTP, FTPS, SFTP)

Nice to have skills

- Knowledge of computer networking (TCP, UDP, firewalls, NAT, network latency)
- Knowledge of JBOSS, Websphere, Jetty
- Test framework development experience
- Virtualization experience (VM Ware, Virtual Box)
- Unix/Linux administration experience

Inside Sales Position
We are looking for an energetic inside sales representative for our FileCatalyst product line.

Primary Objectives & Responsibilities

• Qualify and follow-up on new leads.
• Book meetings for sales team.
• Outbound calls (~20 per day) there will be no cold calls.
• Follow workload and schedules established by the Vice President of Sales.
• Help exhibit at trade shows in the US and abroad.

Term: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary:Base pay plus a bonus.

Required skills

- Must demonstrate at least 6 months of previous sales experience.
- Forward thinking with the ability to be proactive in selling.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills. (Email, Internet based research and document editing)

Nice to have skills

- Previous telemarketing experience.
- Knowledge of a second language.
